Erev Yom Kippur – 5777

https://www.facebook.com/yedidya.weisel/posts/1445085118839473 My son, Yedidya, shared this vedio on Facebook this morning. I don’t understand all the words but the song and performer are very moving. I remember the day Yedidya and Roi shot  this vedio. I asked Yedidya one day, “So what did you to today?” He answered, “Roi and I had an all day shoot. We followed this performer around all day and shot a vedio. It was a very special experience.” He was very צנוע – tzanuah – modest about it, like it was  no big deal. But for the Mama, it’s a BIG DEAL! Check out the drone shot at the end. They even bought a drone! I thought it was very special vedio to share Erev Yom Kippur. Enjoy! גמר חתימה טובה   Share...

Sadness Followed by Joy

https://www.facebook.com/sbeker1/posts/10153726928816243 Yesterday was like Yom HaZikaron. After Wednesday night’s terrible terrorist attack Israel was thrust into instant mourning. The radio played sad songs and the Nation mourned the 4 victims, who’s lives were snuffed out in an instant. As I posted the last post. I came across the above post on Facebook. It brought tears  to my eyes. You mean somebody actually cares about us. Thank You. As I was writing the previous post, there was tank fire far away in Gaza. Here we are living in this surreal world. I am writing about beautiful flowers and there’s tank fire in Azza. And people being killed in terrorist attacks. There are a lot of Shu-Shu activities – -שו-שו – activities that...

My Jewish IPad

I  was rummaging through Facebook tonight, sharing a few posts with Ron. Our friend,  Jacob posted this beautiful picture of The Splitting of the Reed Sea. As I was showing this picture to Ron, this  message popped up on my screen, reminding me that this was the first day of the Omer. I love it. Even my IPad participates on Jewish Time. These kind of things make me feel special being a Jew. Just had to share. Share this:TweetMoreEmailPocketShare on...
