About three weeks ago, the last time that we visited my mom at her retirement home, I played for her a shiur from Rabbi Jonathan Sacks that was about 10 minutes on Parshat Eikev titled The Power of Gratitude – His talk was exactly my mom and she absolutely ate...

Falafel Night

Believe it or not, even though we have had a hard pigua day, we try to lead normal lives. We go to work, eat, play and still try to enjoy life. So this is an up post. Our Kibbutz falafel stand has moved to bigger quarters. (Refer to July 17, No Pizza Today. September 4, 2014, Thursday Night Falafel is Back) 2 weeks ago was Pizza Night in Sderot. Tonight Falafel Night in Sa’ad and the food was delicious.   I tell Ephraim how much we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Efriam planted a tree exactly where the kassam fell. He said, “Where a kassam fell, a falafel stand has grown.” Sounds better...
